I really enjoyed the chicken biryani! The taste is very much better than others I've tried, and the sauce is ok. The price is also acceptable. I've also tried the chicken lollypop, and it was ok. It was a bit had to chew at times. The paratha was disappointing though. It was not flaky at all but was tough to chew. Staff was nice and quick to respond. Restaurant is clean and spacious. I would like to try their dosas sometime in the future!
Came here after a concert because this place closes at 2 AM! I love a good late night spot. My friends and I tried the Aloo Tikki Chat, Roti with Chicken Curry, Chicken Biryani, and Mango Lassi. Chicken biryani was a generous portion, seasoned well, and had lots of protein. The chicken curry had the most spice to it... and I enjoyed spooning the sauce over the biryani. The chicken was very tender and falling off the bone though I wish there was more of it! I also would've liked more than two roti. The aloo tikki chat surprised me the most. It was slightly sweet and had lots of different textures. Very addicting and full of flavor. The mango lassi was a great way to combat the spice and finish the meal. Not the best Indian food I've had but I greatly appreciate this place for what it is: a late night spot to satisfy your Indian food cravings! I see myself coming back for sure after a concert at Smart Financial Centre.
Had the most amazing dinner at Triveni Express last night! The flavors were out of this world, and the presentation was top-notch. Definitely a restaurant worth trying if you're in the mood for some seriously good Indian food!
I was craving chili chicken and saw Triveni Express had it! We've driven by this place several times and have been wanting to try it so we ordered takeout! Items were ordered: -Mutton biriyani which was nice and flavorful with a good amount of mutton! 5/5 -We also got chicken noodles and chili chicken which hit the spot!! Really tasty and flavorful! 5/5 NOTE: you can only order Indo-Chinese after 4pm which we didn't know about until trying to place the order over the phone. While picking up the food, my husband grabbed 2 other items which I'm not sure what the names were but they were fried jalapeños and huge puffs filled with chicken I believe. Both were sooo good. I'm so glad we tried Triveni out and will definitely be back. The flavors for everything we got was great!
This fast-food restaurant is a great spot in the neighborhood to grab tea and snacks or to fix lunch, dinner, or even breakfast. The setup is partly self-serve: you place your order at the register, take your number plate, and choose any table you want. You grab your cutlery from the station near the counter corner, and the server will bring your food to your table. You also handle your own cleanup afterward. We love their tea, which is strong and comes with sugar on the side. Their samosa, dal vada, and dosa are also favorites of ours. However, we tried their chaats, and they were a complete no-go for us. They have a very extensive menu, and we're eager to explore more of it. I prefer eating here over the Triveni location in Katy, as the Katy spot is often plagued by bugs flying around due to the attached grocery store and open-ended area. This restaurant maintains a nice and clean ambiance, and I hope they keep up the quality of their food and service.
A friend and their family invited us out to eat and the friend basically ordered for the table. I am a mild eater so I had the fried onion pakora and kids double cheese dosa. I also had mango lassi so I can try the other dishes. Everything was delish. I just have a hard time eating spicy food but they were good. Everything we had was vegetarian. They have meat options but we decided that today's veggie night. :) Service was steady. We had a large order so there were some delays. When you come, go to the front and order like you would in any fast food place. Pay and bring the number to your table and they'll bring the food asap. There is self service for water, napkin, and utensils. After you're done, you need to out your trash away in a nearby trash can. Parking out front is big and free. One last thing, I'm really surprise this place doesn't have a lot of Yelp reviews. It def deserves so much more awareness. Really vegetarian friendly. And if you love spicy food, this is the place!
Location: Easy to find. Inside: Beautiful clean atmosphere with Bollywood songs in background. Food: 9/10 absolutely delicious. Food is amazingly flavorful and packs a strong punch of Indian spices which is very hard to find these days. Everything was very tasty. All four of us were very content. Service: quick, amicable staff. We ordered individual items mainly veg. I got the chicken-curry. Only con: chicken had bones in it, makes it harder to eat but more flavorful so it's a pro/con depending on what you are looking for. Chicken falls off the bone delightfully Naan and certain drinks/food start at 4pm Follow up: highly recommend. Would happily come back and recommend to anyone visiting the area!
We recently visited Triveni Express on a Saturday for lunch. The location of the restaurant is easy to find and conveniently located in a strip mall. It was very busy with large groups of people dining. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. The lady who took our order was friendly and helpful. She apologized for the wait as the customers in front of us had many questions. Which was very polite and considerate of her. We ordered chicken curry, boneless chicken biryani, roti, and two diet cokes for $42.79. Our food came out quickly and was very hot. Everything was packaged in a very nice brown paper bag with handles and in secure to go food containers. This was perfect because we had a little bit of the food at the restaurant but wanted to take it home to our family. Everything we had was delicious and had terrific flavor. We really enjoyed the biryani and curry. Our only constructive criticism would be that if you are advertising something as boneless, you are certain that it is completely boneless. there were many many bone fragments in the curry as well as the biryani which was specifically advertised as boneless. This was just a little bit concerning considering children would be eating it and we didn't realize it until after we got it home and served it. As we were leaving, the lady that had taken our order, came up to us and asked how our meal was. We really appreciated her following up with us and we told her that everything was delicious. We will definitely be back and we would recommend that others try this new restaurant. Additionally, whoever is handling their social media is doing an excellent job. We decided to come to this restaurant based on what we saw on Instagram.
